Welcome to the Walker Center for Global Entrepreneurship

CONGRATULATIONS to the Winners of the 2010 Thunderbird Global Business Plan competition sponsored by the Walker Center and held in partnership with the Thunderbird Entrepreneurship Network.

Turbo140 is a new generation of social marketplace that provides a space where seekers of temporary workers and one-off jobs can find individuals who will bid for the work. Initially targeted to college students as the workers and the greater community they reside in as the buyers Turbo140 is described by its creator as "Craig's List and eBay having a super baby."

2nd place and $4,000 in cash went to MBA candidate Carla Bernaola '10 for her existing start-up company ETHOS, a high-end, environmentally conscious women's clothing and accessory line made from Peruvian alpaca wool.
